Staging 101: 7 Simple Ideas to Stage Your Bathroom
If you are preparing to sell your home you know that to one extent or another you’ll need to do some staging work. The good news is that there is a lot of help and advice out there, both from your Realtor and from blogs and articles (including this one!) but there does tend to be one very important room in the home that even the experts have a tendency to overlook; the bathroom. Sure you are advised to make sure it is spotlessly clean and that everything is working order but all too often the advantages of actually making an effort to stage a bathroom properly are overlooked.
Failing to stage a bathroom properly makes less sense than ever before. Even if hey are mainly utilitarian, ‘necessity’ spaces, bathrooms are increasingly important to home buyers. For example, according to the Canadian Home Builders’ Association the average Canadian home has grown from 1,800 square feet to 2,200 square feet since 2000. Where is all of that extra space going? Bathrooms. People are either adding more of them or making existing ones bigger.
So if buyers are putting so much more emphasis on bathrooms, you’d be wise to focus more on it in your staging too. Take a look at some of these ideas and photos below for some simple, affordable ideas to stage bathrooms.
